Items Needed

Hope Program:

Our clients who choose life are often in need of resources to care for their babies. A teen mom will experience an increased self-esteem by being able to do something to provide for her little one while educating herself with good parenting information. I wish you could see their sweet faces as they find joy in shopping in the Hope Closet!

By viewing educational videos, clients can earn coupons to shop in our Hope Closet. There she will find gently used baby and maternity items. Clients can stay in our Hope Program until the child is 3 yrs old. This allows us to continue to provide support in a loving environment, and to continue a relationship based on trust and genuine care.

The book of James advises us well in this. "What good is it, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? " If a woman has chosen life, you can help her to support this life through your new and gently used items.

Hope Closet Items:

  • Baby clothing size newborn to 3T
  • Maternity clothing
  • Baby care items
  • Blankets, quilts, afghans

* We are not able to accept donations of baby beds or car seats, due to storage space limitations and recall liability issues. Many local church benevolence programs do accept these items.

Parenting Class:

We offer a parenting class for our clients and their baby's daddy to attend. Attending all four of the two hour sessions entitles them to attend the Baby Shower, where we provide a cake and punch party and gift them with a layette. These classes are held six times each year - twice for our Spanish-speaking clients!

Many times a women's group or a Sunday School department will have a fellowship and will honor the Fort Worth Pregnancy Center by gathering items for our Parenting Classes. The clients are always so thrilled to receive these wonderful gifts for their little ones! You can provide what they would not ordinarily have for their newborns.

If you are interested in hosting such an event for your group, please contact Jennifer Hollen @ 817.924.9110 or jenn@fwpc.org.
